Congratulations on the 3rd place finish! I’m sure it was not easy to bounce back after the loss to Liberty.

Defeating Incarnate Word in the consolation game is arguably the biggest win in the program’s history–replacing the win over Jeff City two years ago to finally advance to the Final Four.

Our history against Incarnate Word has not been stellar. I don’t have any information before 2003, but from 2003 to the present, our only highlight has been Molly Brewer’s penalty kick goal in the 2009 state semifinals.

2003 State Quarterfinals
L 0-4

2007 Tournament of Champions
L 0-4

2008 State Quarterfinals
L 0-5

2009 State Semifinals
L 1-5

I just wish I had been there to see it. Go Falcons!
