Parkview JV Tournament Schedule

The schedule for the Parkview JV Tournament on September 10 has been set:

9:00am Parkview vs. Glendale
11:00am Kickapoo vs. Parkview
1:00pm Glendale vs. Kickapoo

The tournament will be a round-robin. The games will be played on Parkview’s grass field.

Quincy Tournament Hotel Deadline

Today is the deadline for making hotel reservations for the varsity tournament in Quincy, IL. Tomorrow the hotel will release all of the unbooked rooms being reserved under Glendale High School Soccer. The hotel is the Hampton Inn and the phone number is 217-224-8378.

Yes, Andy Milonakis is 29

Apparently there was some debate tonight about the age of MTV’s Andy Milonakis. I used to have a place on the Pershing Soccer website to deal with such important concerns. Alas, I will resort to a front page post. Yes, Andy Milonakis is 29-years-old even if he acts like he is 14. Who says?

Presentation by John Underwood

John Underwood spoke to the Springfield Public Schools PE teachers on Monday about keeping teams substance free, communicating awareness, and the need for prevention. John Underwood is an NCAA All-American, International Level Distance Runner, World Masters Champion and Master Trainer for New York Public Schools and he has worked with the NCAA, ECAC, NHL, U.S. Olympic Committee, Sport Canada and the International Olympic Committee.

His message should be of special interest to parents. He will be speaking at Drury University on Wednesday evening from 7:00-9:00pm.
