On Tuesday, October 11, the Glendale Varsity will travel across town to play the Hillcrest Hornets. The match begins at 4:00pm.
Players will be dismissed at 2:00pm. There is no JV match.

The Falcons defeated the Moberly Spartans, 6-1. The Falcons finished in 5th place in the Kickapoo Shootout with a 2-1 record. Kickapoo won the tournament by defeating Liberty 2-0 in the championship match. SGFsoccer has a match summary.

Several individual accomplishments to note after this weekend:
- Steve Wilczewski tallied his 18th assist of the season. He has tied Ryan McGee (1997) for most assists in a single season by a Glendale Falcon.
- Andrew Parsons scored his 17th goal of the season to move into 5th place for most goals in a single season by a Glendale Falcon. The record was set by Jason Price in 1990 with 41 goals. In second place is Coach Josh Keisker with 21 goals in 1994.
- Freshman Devon Newport scored his first Varsity goal. Soccer moms should listen to the webmaster!
The Varsity has played 14 games in the past 19 days and managed to go 12-2 during that stretch. The two loses were 1-0 defeats to state-ranked teams.
In the event that you have not had enough soccer, the U.S. Men’s National Team plays Costa Rica tonight in a World Cup qualifier. The match will be on ESPN2 at 9:00pm local time. It is on a one hour delay.

The Falcons defeated the Nixa Eagles, 4-1, in the second game of the Nixa tournament.

The Falcons lost to the Liberty Blue Jays, 0-1, in the first round of the Kickapoo Shootout. Liberty is currently ranked #6 in Class 3. The Falcons defeated Liberty last year in the finals of the same tournament.
The Falcons will play the Nixa Eagles tomorrow (Saturday, October 8th) at 8:00am in the second round of the tournament.

On Thursday, October 6 the Falcons will travel north to play the Rolla Bulldogs. The JV match begins at 5:00pm with the Varsity match to follow. Players will be dismissed at 1:45pm with the bus set to depart at 2:15pm.
