As we start the new week, there are several updates everyone should be aware of:

Today: Practice will be at 4:30pm with the Varsity pasta party to follow at Megan Garrad’s.
Tuesday: Match vs. Parkview on Parkview’s natural grass field. The JV will play first at 4:00pm with the Varsity match to follow.
Wednesday: Match vs. Catholic at Catholic. Varsity only. Kickoff is at 5:00pm.
Saturday: Match vs. Rogers, AR on Cooper 1. The JV will play at noon with the Varsity match to follow.

Falcons Defeat Bentonville

The Falcons defeated the Bentonville Tiger, 2-1, on penalty kicks.
Match Stats: Megan McElroy (1G), Lauren Bettlach (1A).
Penalty Kicks Made: Megan Garrad, Maggie Hediger, Mindy Neal.

Falcons Fall to Raytown South

The Falcons fell to Raytown South, 0-1, in their second game of the Kickapoo Shootout.

The Falcons will play for 7th place at 2:00pm on KHS North.

Falcons Fall to Visitation

The Falcons lost to Visitation, 0-1, in the first overtime.

The Falcons will play Raytown South at 10:15am on KHS North.

Class 2 State Ranking Released

SGFsoccer has posted the first Class 2 soccer poll. In addition to the poll, Steve provides some analysis of many of the teams.

West Plains Match Postponed

Today’s match with West Plains has been postponed. The Varsity will play Visitation tomorrow at 4:30pm on Cooper 1 in the opening round of the Kickapoo tournament.

The Varsity will play first this evening at 5:00pm with JV to follow weather permitting. Lake Country will make the final decision by 1:00pm, so any cancellations will be posted online and announced at school.
