The Falcons (13-9-1) upset the #14 Rolla Bulldogs (19-2-3), 3-2 on penalty kicks, to claim the District 11 championship.
Match Stats: Lauren Bettlach (1G), Lorin Opfer (1G/1A).
Penalty Kicks: Lauren Bettlach, Mindy Neal, Megan Garrad, Lou Opfer.
On Tuesday, May 23, the Falcons will play a sectional match on Cooper 1 at 7:00pm against the winner of the Joplin vs. Kickapoo District 12 championship match will take place on Friday in Joplin.
SGFsoccer has already posted a brief story about the match:
“On first blush this ranks as the biggest upset I can recall in the Ozarks region in my four years of attending and covering matches.”

Tonight the Falcons will face the Rolla Bulldogs for the District 11 championship on Cooper 1 at 6:00pm.

The Falcons defeated Waynesville, 3-1, to advance to the District 11 championship game. The Falcons will play the winner of the Rolla vs. Lebanon match.

Mark your calendars. Boys team camp has been scheduled for July 10th-14, from 6:00-9:00pm. All players 9-12th grade are encouraged to attend. A competitive match play environment will be the focus. Flyers will be forthcoming.

The Varsity defeated the Neosho Wildcats, 2-0.
Match Stats: Rebecca Robinson (1G), Jeni Frewin (1G), Katie Bushman (1A), Megan Garrad (1A).
The Falcons seniors (Ashley Meyer, Megan McElroy, Rebecca Robinson, Maggie Hediger, and Katie Bushman) were honored at halftime.
The Falcons are the #2 seed in the District 11 tournament which begins next week. On Tuesday, May 16 the Falcons will face the winner of Monday’s match between Hillcrest and Waynesville on Cooper 1.
The JV defeated Neosho, 4-0.
Match Stats: Emily Jordan (1G), Jeni Frewin (2G), Kathryn Bergmann (1G), Brittany Behnke (2A).
The JV finishes the season with a 10-2 record. Their only loses were at the Kickapoo Tournament over Spring Break.
