SGFsoccer has a story about the recent soccer exploits of the Falcon Nation’s own Wade Luethy. Wade is a 2004 graduate of Glendale High School and plays for the University of Central Arkansas Bears (along with former Falcons Chris Murphy and Shawn Campbell).

A message from Mr. Ewing:

All parents who were unable to attend the August 1 parent athletic meeting need to come to the office, pick up a paper copy of the meeting from Karen Smith, and sign that they received that copy. Glendale wants to stress to our student-athletes and parents the importance of eligibility, citizenship, and sportsmanship.

The Jock 98.7 will be discussing Glendale Soccer on Saturday, August 12 at 9:00am. Please tune in to hear our captains and coaches discuss the upcoming season.

Come out and meet the 2006 Varsity and Junior Varsity soccer players and coaches at the annual tailgate party on Thursday, August 17 at 7:00pm at the Glendale Soccer Field.

There will be a short informational meeting and we will be selling Glendale t-shirts, as well as, taking orders for other soccer items. We will be serving Schlotzsky’s box dinners, which includes a 4” sandwich, chips and a cookie; or a salad. Drinks will be provided by Ozark Coca-Cola/Dr Pepper Bottling Company. The price is $5.50 per adult meal and $3.00 for kid’s meals. Don’t forget to bring a lawn chair or blanket.

Please return your meal order form by Friday, August 11.

Don’t forget that your adbook ads must be turned in to Tony Morris by the end of the tailgate party.
