Former Falcon Ashley Meyer is now playing soccer for Lynchburg College in Virginia.
The Lynchburg women’s soccer team will be traveling to Costa Rica this summer to play a series of games and experience the soccer from an international perspective while learning about the Costa Rican way of life.
Each player is expected to raise funds to cover the expenses of the trip. This letter from Lynchburg’s coach, Todd Olsen, explains more about the trip and the donation opportunities.
Any contributions would be greatly appreciated.

Senior Sam Palmer was named to the All-Ozarks second team but was inadvertently omitted from yesterday’s announcement on our website.
The News-Leader only listed the first team in the online edition, and the webmaster does not look at the smeared ink on dead trees edition very often. As Ghostbuster Egon Spangler noted: “Print is dead.”
Congratulations, Sammy.

I missed this earlier because, for some strange reason, the News-Leader’s Varsity HQ blog does not have an RSS feed even though they have feeds for the traditional sections of their paper. How bizarre.
Anyway, News-Leader report Allen Vaughn has acknowledged the impressive performance of Glendale’s athletic teams during the fall season.
