The season opening match against Kickapoo on March 31 will be a cancer awareness event to support Kickapoo basketball coach Stephanie Phillips. As you are probably aware, Coach Phillips is fighting cancer. The soccer community’s support for Coach Phillips was mentioned in today’s News-Leader.
The Chiefs will be wearing pink kits with brown printing for the event. The Falcons will be wearing pink shorts socks. Select “The Cure” balls will be used for the match.
Kickapoo is selling white (not yellow or brown) “Kicking Our Way to a Cure” t-shirts as a fundraiser. The shirts can be ordered or purchased the day of the match. Donations are also gladly accepted. See the event flier for more information and an illustration of the t-shirt design.
