Southeast Springfield vs. Nixa

This afternoon the Falcons will play the Nixa Eagles for the District 11 championship in Ozark. Due to weather concerns, kickoff has been rescheduled for 4:00pm. Players will be dismissed at 2:00pm with bus departure set for 2:30pm.

The Future Falcons at Pershing are scheduled to play Nixa for the Middle School Championship at 7:30pm on Cooper 1 has been rescheduled for Monday, May 23 at 7:00pm on Cooper 1.

The current Glendale senior class was the last group to win a girls soccer championship for Pershing. Nixa has never won the middle school championship, but enters the match as the top seed.

The Falcons shutout the Ozark Tigers, 5-0, and advance to the District 11 championship match against Nixa. The championship match will be held at 6:00pm at Ozark on Friday, May 20.

Falcons Defeat Catholic

The Varsity defeated the Catholic Fighting Irish, 2-1, in a battle for local bragging rights. The Falcons finish the regular season with a record of 17-1-0.
Match Stats: Molly Brewer (2G), Emily Cline (1A).

The Falcons will  begin postseason play on Wednesday, May 18 at 5:00pm at Ozark in a District 11 semifinal against the winner of Monday’s match between #4 Ozark and #5 Branson.

JV Defeats Catholic; Finishes Season Undefeated

The JV defeated the Catholic Fighting Irish, 3-2. The JV finishes the season with a record of 14-0-1. The only blemish was a season opening draw with Kickapoo.

Cline Inducted Into Glendale Hall of Fame

Congratulations to Senior Captain Emily Cline for her induction into the Glendale Hall of Fame for athletics.

At this morning’s assembly, Cline also received the MSHSAA Citizenship/Sportsmanship Award.

The Varsity defeated the Kickapoo Chiefs, 1-0, on an Emily Cline goal in the 7th minute of the first overtime. The Falcons win the Ozark Conference championship outright after going 9-0 in conference play. The Falcons’ last conference title was in 2009 when they shared the title with Waynesville.

The JV defeated the Kickapoo Chiefs, 2-0.
Match Stats: Abby Greene (1G/1A), Sarah Powell (1G).

All players need to meet in Room 215 immediately after school to take a survey for SPS.

The JV close their season at Catholic tomorrow afternoon at 4:30pm with a chance to finish the season undefeated.

Falcons Defeat Waynesville Tigers

The Varsity defeated the Waynesville Tigers, 3-0.
Match Stats: Emily Cline (2G/1A), Molly Brewer (1G), Drianna Raff (1A), Ann Millington (1A).

With the win, the Falcons have clinched a share of the Ozark Conference championship with Camdenton. The Falcons can win the title outright with a win over Kickapoo on Wednesday.

The JV defeated the Waynesville Tigers, 7-0
Match Stats: Sara Powell (4G/1A), Becca Burton (1G/1A), Abby Greene (1G), Keri Cook (1G).

No JV practice on Tuesday. The Varsity will have a walk through at 4:00pm.

The Varsity & JV will have a Pre-Poo Pasta Party at 5:00pm.
