The Pershing Generals defeated the Nixa Eagles, 2-1, to win the school’s 8th middle school girls championship. SGFsoccer.com has a match summary and photos. There are a lot of familiar last names in that match summary!

No practice today, but the Future Falcons over at Pershing are playing Nixa tonight in the middle school championship game at 7:30pm on Cooper 1. Players are encouraged to go out and support the Generals.
We will train on Thursday and Friday at Parkview’s JFK Stadium from 3:30-5:00pm
The Falcons will travel to Columbia on Saturday for a state quarterfinal match with the Rock Bridge Bruins at 3:00pm. The bus will depart from Glendale at 10:15am. Driving Directions are online. Admission is $6 for ages 6 and up.

The Falcons earned their 20th win of the season as they defeated the Parkview Vikings in a state sectional match, 7-0. Emily Cline scored a double hat trick (6 goals) bringing her season total to 42. She has surpassed Jason Price for the most goals by a Falcon in a single season. Price scored 41 in 1990.
The Falcons have advanced to the state quarterfinals for the fifth time in the program’s history. On Saturday, May 28 the Falcons will face the Rock Bridge Bruins, the only team to defeat the Falcons this season. The time and location for the state quarterfinal match are TBA.

The state sectional match vs. Parkview has been moved to 4:00pm today due to the unpredictability of the weather. Players will be dismissed from school at 2:00pm and should be at Drury’s Harrison Stadium at 3:00pm.
