Girls soccer meeting

There will be a player/parent meeting on Tuesday, January 10 at 6:00pm in the school cafeteria for all girls intersted in playing this year.

With a heavy and saddend heart, the Glendale Falcon Family has lost a dear member of our soccer community. Bob Jordan passed away on Monday, December 12, 2011, suffering from a massive heart attack. Bob was a significant part of the Glendale Soccer program as acting web administrator since 2001. He has touched the lives of many, not only through this web site and others, but also as the coach of the Pershing Generals from 2000-2006.
Services will be held at Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home in Springfield, MO. Visitation will be Thursday, December 15, 2011 from 6-8 p.m. and a Memorial Service will be on Friday, December 16, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions to the Robert Jordan Memorial Fund may be made at any Empire Bank location or at Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home (www.gormanscharpf.com).

Emily Cline Named to NSCAA All-Region Team

Congratulations to former Falcon and current Drury Panther Emily Cline on being named to the 2011 National Soccer Coaches Association of America All-Region V team.

Cline is the second Falcon to receive All-Region recognition. In 2008, former Falcon Devon Newport became the first Falcon to receive All-Region honors. Cline is the second area girl to receive All-Region honors. Rolla’s Anne Felts was all-region in 2000 and All-American in 2001.

Fall Athletics Survey

The following is the number of students and parents who took the survey:

Soccer: Students – 24, Parents – 7

As you can see, parent participation was low, and student participation could have been better. Please understand, not only do the results give all of us a tool to improve our programs, but also gives us data that can be shared with SPS Administration, the Board, and our Community to better show the importance of Activities and give us more justification to increase support for our kids.

The survey will be open again from now through Monday, December 5.
