Springfield, Missouri's Glendale Falcons

With a heavy heart I unfortunately have to report that one of our fellow Falcons soccer player, Grayson Lambert, passed away early Saturday morning along with other members of his family. Grayson and his family members were involved in a tragic airplane accident on their way home from a KC Royals game. Below is a picture Grayson uploaded of him, his sister, brother, and father at that game just hours before this accident. This loss affects many groups of people and no amount of words can express the feelings of the Falcons and community members. The full story can be found at this link.

We express our condolences to the entire Lambert family and anyone else affected by this. They will be missed but not forgotten.

With that being said, both jv and varsity will meet at the field Monday at 3:15 like normal. We will figure out the rest of our schedule after we figure out the memorial services. Thank you.

Friday all players (boys & girls) will be apart of the field dedication.  Players are asked to be at the stadium by 6:15pm wearing a jersey.  Nathan Valbracht, Nick Moore, McKenzie Robbins and Chandler Craven will represent our program with donors during the festivities.  Ceremony to begin around 6:30pm before the kick off of the football game.

Saturday will be our pancake fund raiser at Appleby’s.  All players will particpate to serve our guest and need to be at Appleby’s by 7:30am.  Cost will be $5.00 and we will serve pancakes from 8-10am.

Tuesday: Regular training time for both teams.
Wednesday: Players will be dismissed at 2:00pm with bus departure set for 2:30pm for Carthage.
Friday: Field dedication before kick off of the football game. All players will wear their jersey’s and be apart of the ceremony.

Last night the Falcons took on Pembroke Hill in the brand new stadium. The Falcons defended their home turn and finished the game 1-0. Nick Moore-G Evan Garrad-A

Soccer In the Ozarks

Thursday will be our first match of the season v the Ozark Tigers. Players will be required to ride the school bus which will leave Glendale at 3:45pm. If you will be taking your son home after the game please give one of our coaches a signed transportation release form. Forms can be downloaded from our site by clicking on the directions link at the top of the page.  Due to low numbers on both JV squads the match will only be one half which allow some players to play both halves in the Varsity match.  The Varsity game will kick off around 6:00pm. 

Friday the Varsity will play Pembroke Hill in the new stadium with a 7:00pm kick-off.
