All-Region Team Announced

The All-Region team has been announced and four Falcons have earned honors. Congratulatons to Brett Cantwell, Kali Simpson, and Megan Garrad for being named to the All-Region team and Ashley Meyer for receiving an Honorable Mention.

District 11 All-District Team Announced

The District 11 All-District Team has been announced. Ten Falcons were named to the team including four first team selections: Megan Garrad, Brett Cantwell, Kali Simpson, and Ashley Meyer. Special congratulations to Brett Cantwell for being named Co-Defensive Player of the Year.

Future Falcons Claim Championship

The Pershing Girls Varsity defeated Catholic 3-2 on penalty kicks to claim the Middle School Championship with a perfect 9-0 record. The score was 1-1 at the end of regulation. Pershing scored with two minutes left in in the second overtime, but then conceded the equalizer with about 20 seconds left in the game. Pershing won the penalty kick shootout, 3-1.

Goals: Lindsey Sprouse (1), Emily Jordan (1).
Penalty Kicks: Jeni Frewin (1), Emily Jordan (1), Emily Cline (1).

The Pershing boys and girls soccer teams completed their first “double” in school history–winning both championships in the same school year and they did so with an impressive 19-0 record.

Banquet Update

As a reminder the girl’s banquet will be tomorrow (Wednesday, May 25) at 6:00pm, in the Cooper Estates Club House. Please contact Sandy Simpson with any changes concerning your attendance at the banquet.

All players will need to bring their clean uniforms, warm-ups and bags to turn in. If you cannot attend the banquet, please make plans to drop off your equipment as grade cards will be held for any player with missing items.

Captain’s Camp Scheduled
