John Underwood spoke to the Springfield Public Schools PE teachers on Monday about keeping teams substance free, communicating awareness, and the need for prevention. John Underwood is an NCAA All-American, International Level Distance Runner, World Masters Champion and Master Trainer for New York Public Schools and he has worked with the NCAA, ECAC, NHL, U.S. Olympic Committee, Sport Canada and the International Olympic Committee.
His message should be of special interest to parents. He will be speaking at Drury University on Wednesday evening from 7:00-9:00pm.

The bracket for the Quincy Tournament is available. The Falcons play their first game on Friday, September 30 at 5:30pm against Evanston (IL) High School.

A work day has been scheduled for this Saturday, August 27 from 8:00-10:00am to prepare the complex for the season. Coaches will instruct the players on what items to bring.

The annual Glendale Soccer Tailgate Party will be held on Thursday, August 18 at 7:00pm at the Glendale Soccer field. There will be a short informational meeting and we will be selling Glendale t-shirts that evening as well as taking orders for other soccer items.
We will be serving Quizno’s box dinners, which include a sandwich or salad, cookie, and chips. Drinks will be provided. The price is $5.50 per adult and $3.00 for children under 12.
The reservation form is only available online. Please print and complete the form and return it to Nancy Wicks or Steve Wilczewski by Monday, August 15.

As a reminder please plan to attend the mandatory meeting tonight at 7:00pm in the Glendale auditorium. The meeting will be for all athletes and at least one parent. Players must attend and also have their individual goals completed.
