The Kickoff Pasta Party for the JV and Varsity teams will be held on Monday, March 13 immediately after practice. Come celebrate the winning tradition of GHS Girl’s soccer! Older players with cars need to help transport younger players and those without cars.

Tryouts for the girls soccer program will begin Monday, February 27th at 4:30pm. We will be at the track, so only running shoes will be needed. Players must have their physicals and all appropriate paperwork completed to participate.

Due to a clerical error Jared Dusha was overlooked for his academic accomplishments. Jared was named to the Academic All-Conference team along with teammates Danny Collins and Andrew Parsons.

Jack Black’s new movie, Nacho Libre, opens this summer.
As you can see, Nacho Libre’s wrestling uniform sports some familiar colors.
I hope Jack Black doesn’t tarnish the Columbia Blue & Red or give the wrestling team any ideas.
Then again, capes would be a very stylish uniform accessory. They would make the player introductions much more interesting.

One of Drury’s Students in Free Enterprise (SIFE) teams has created a program called Financing Education Through Athletics. They will be doing a program for soccer players on Saturday, February 11 from noon – 2:00pm. There are details about the program over at SGFsoccer.com.

Three Falcons will be signing letters of intent to play college soccer and further their education.
We will be honoring Ben Hamilton (Barton County Community College), Andrew Parsons (University of New Mexico) and Steve Wilczewski (Drury University) tomorrow after school in the library. All players and families are encouraged to attend and celebrate their achievements.
