The Pershing Generals will go for the 3-peat tonight at 7:00pm on Cooper 1 when they take on Springfield Catholic in the Middle School Championship game.
Earlier this season, Catholic snapped Pershing’s 42-game unbeaten streak. It’s time for the little brothers to pick-up where the big brothers left off last night.
There were plenty of Future Falcons in the stands last night. Hopefully the Pershing alums can return the favor tonight.

If you are only going to win one game in a three game series, you should win the one that counts and that is exactly what happened tonight. Coach Rogers has engineered his second major postseason surprise of 2006.
After losing to archrival Kickapoo (23-3) twice this season (0-1 and 1-2), the Falcons (13-6-3) turned in a dominating performance and defeated the Kickapoo Chiefs, 3-0.
This is the second consecutive year that the Falcons have defeated the Chiefs in the sectionals. The Falcons have defeated the Chiefs the last four times the two teams have met in postseason play. The Falcons have an 18-8 record against the Kickapoo varsity since 1998.
Match Stats: Sam Palmer (1G), Jeff Lyons (1G), Danny Collins (1G), Devon Newport (1A), Michael Page (1A), Shaun Morris (1A).
The Falcons will play the Vianney Golden Griffins on Saturday, November 11 at 1:00pm in Camdenton. Tonight, Vianney defeated our friends from Jefferson City Helias, 1-0 in the second overtime.
Visit the MSHSAA website for complete tournament coverage.

Kickoff for the sectional match against Kickapoo is at 6:30pm on Cooper 1, not 7:00pm as erroneously stated in the News-Leader.
Glendale fans are instructed to sit on the South end of the bleachers. The team will be seated on the South bench.
