Hail to The Chief

by Administrator on April 13, 2007

Iron Eyes CodyLast Friday evening Tom Davidson, the long-time coach of the Kickapoo Chiefs, announced that he was leaving to take the coaching job at Ozark.

The Falcons Nation wishes Coach Davidson and his family the best of luck on their move to Ozark.

Here is a personal message from Coach Jeff Rogers:

On the announcement that Tom Davidson has accepted the head coaching job at Ozark High School I want to congratulate both Tom and Missy on this new adventure for their family.

Tom and I have been coaching against each other for the past 16 years. Our programs have a lot of pride which is evident every time we play. His impact over the past 16 years at Kickapoo goes well beyond wins or trophies. He truly has the desire to help mold young boys and girls into young men and women. He approaches education and coaching with the mindset of how I can serve these kids as opposed to how these kids can benefit me.

I know this was a difficult decision to leave a program that is recognized statewide not only for their talent on the field but their accomplishments in the classroom and in life. Tom has become a trusted friend and the Ozark community is getting one of the best.

Congrats Tom!

The winner of the Glendale vs. Oakville match will play at noon on Saturday. The loser will play at 10:15am.

The weather forecast for this weekend, especially Friday, is dreadful. We’ll let you know if there are any cancellations or changes.
