Preview: Glendale vs. Rogers Mountaineers

This evening the Falcons go south of the border to take on the Rogers Mountaineers a.k.a. Lady Mounties. Last Spring, Rogers defeated the Falcons, 2-1.

Rogers (11-2) was the Arkansas State Champions in 2004, 2005, and 2006. Rogers defeated Kickapoo, 2-0, on March 22. It was Kickapoo’s first game of the season.

Rogers has nine seniors on their roster. They are led by University of Arkansas signee and 2004 Gatorade Arkansas Player of the Year, Samantha Bolton.

Bolton joins the Lady’Backs from Rogers, Ark., where she also earned Gatorade state player of the year honors, although as a sophomore. She has led her Rogers High School team to three consecutive state championships and has been a mainstay on the Arkansas state ODP team. A defender by trade, she also has a knack for goal with 20 scores and 18 assists in three seasons of high school soccer.

Midfielder Amelia Wildenborg has signed to play for Hendrix College. Goalkeeper Taylor Hayes signed with the University of Arkansas-Little Rock (UALR).

Camdenton
The Falcons will take on the Camdenton Lakers tonight on Cooper 2. The JV match will kickoff at 5:00pm with the Varsity match to follow. It will be a cold and windy evening. Dress appropriately.

Rogers
Tomorrow the Falcons will travel to Rogers, Arkansas to play the Mountaineers. The JV match will kickoff at 4:00pm with the Varsity match to follow. Weather forecast for Rogers.

Players will be dismissed at 11:15am with bus departure set for noon. Lunch will be provided by the booster club.
