Falcons vs. Rolla Bulldogs

The Falcons will travel up I-44 tomorrow to take on the Rolla Bulldogs. The JV match begins at 5:00pm with the Varsity match to follow. It looks like the weather will be clear, but cool and breezy.

Players will be dismissed at 1:20pm. The bus will depart from Glendale at 2:00pm. Driving directions are online.

Boys Information Meeting Date Changed

Due to the girls’ postseason schedule, the boys’ soccer meeting has been moved to Wednesday, May 21 from 6:30-8:00pm in the Glendale Library.

The Week Ahead

The Falcons have only two games this week, but both are against District 11 teams that are jockeying with the Falcons for district seeding.

Monday
The Varsity will practice at 4:30pm. There is no JV practice.

Tuesday
The Falcons travel to Rolla to take on the Bulldogs. The JV match begins at 5:00pm with the Varsity match to follow.

Wednesday
The Varsity pasta party will be held at the home of Lorin Opfer. The JV party is being hosted by Angela Fiester & Dani Helm. Details concerning both parties will be posted soon.

The boys soccer signing ceremony is immediately after school in the Glendale Library.

Thursday
The Falcons will host the Lebanon Yellowjackets. The Yellowjackets stung in the Falcons last season in both the regular season and district semifinals.

The Falcons have invited players from Pershing and Hickory to attend the match and see Glendale Soccer in action.

JV Tournament Results

The JV lost to Catholic, 0-4.

The JV defeated Neosho, 3-1.
Match Stats: Erica Torgeson (1G), Molly Mitchell (1G), Sydney Ganus (1G), Dena Brozowski (1A), Jacinda Lemons (1A), Bailey Millington (1A).

The JV played with 10 players in both games.

Falcons Fall to Dashers

The Falcons lost to the Divine Savior Holy Angels Dashers, 1-7. DSHA is ranked 20th in the nation in the most recent National Soccer Coaches Association of America poll.
Match Stats: Jeni Frewin (1G).

Waynesville was getting ready to take the field against Whitefish Bay (WI) when we left.

The Tournament of Champions website is back up after being down for a couple of days. They have not posted any scores.

Falcons Defeat Covenant Day

The tournament pairings changed again this morning. We are now scheduled to play two teams that were in the “elite” bracket.

The Falcons defeated Covenant Day School from Matthews, NC, 5-0.
Match Stats: Emily Cline (3G), Lindsey Sprouse (2G), Jeni Frewin (3A), Emily Jordan (1A), Emilee Williams (1A).

At 11:00am, the Falcons will play Divine Savior Holy Angels from Milwaukee, WI. DSHA tied Incarnate Word this morning, 1-1.

Yesterday, the Waynesville Tigers lost to St. Charles North from Illinois (0-4). The match ended 30 minutes early due to the weather.
