Incarnate Word Academy, the team that defeated the Falcons in the quarterfinals, defeated St. Joseph’s Academy, 1-0, to win the Missouri Class 2 Girl’s Soccer Championship.

Incarnate Word conceded only one goal during the postseason.

The Class 2 Southwest Region Team has been announced. Lorin Opfer was named Player of the Year. Ashley McWilliams was named Defensive Player of the Year. Coach Rogers was named Coach of the Year.

Emily Cline joins Opfer and McWilliams on the First Team. Lindsey Sprouse earned Honorable Mention.

Coach Rogers, Rachel Duckworth, Megan Garrad, and Lorin Opfer will be on the The Jock 98.7 on Saturday at 11:00 talking about the season.

The broadcast will be live from Rivals on South Glenstone. They have a room that will seat 90 plus people so family and friends can enjoy some food and watch the show.

On Tuesday, June 3, Glendale will be hosting a soccer fun night for all elementary and middle school kids. The fun begins at 6:00pm in Lowe Stadium.  Come meet former and current Glendale players and coaches. There will be lots of fun soccer activities and prizes to win.
