Falcons Defeat Morton Potters

The Varsity defeated the Morton Potters, 2-1, in penalty kicks (5-4). It went to the 6th shooter.

Match Stats: Devon Newport (1G), Graham Basecke (1A).
Penalty Kicks Converted: Devon Newport, Graham Basecke, Ryan Squires, Ryan Partch, Patrick Baltz.

On Saturday morning at 9:00am, the Falcons will play the winner of this afternoon’s match between Dunbar from Lexington, KY and Glenbrook North from Northbrook, IL on Field 17.

The Falcons will travel to Collinsville, IL this weekend to compete in the Gateway City Soccer Classic. The Falcons open tournament play against the Morton Potters at 2:45pm on Field 18. The tournament bracket is online.

There are no classes on Friday. Players should be at Glendale by 8:45am. The bus will depart at 9:00am.

NSCAA Region VII 4th Poll

The new NSCAA Region VII poll (4th poll) has been released and the Falcons have moved up one slot to 9th and Kickapoo has leapfrogged Glendale to take 8th.

Falcons Defeat West Plains

The Varsity defeated the West Plains Zizzers, 7-0.
Match Stats: Devon Newport (2G/1A), Patrick Baltz (2G/1A), Graham Basecke (2G), Cameron Dugan (1G), Ian Newport (2A), Alec Martinez (2A).

The JV defeated the West Plains Zizzers, 10-0.
Match Stats: Keven Williams (3G), Kurt Waterman (2G/1A), Austin Hart (2G/1A), Jacob Rogers (1G/2A), Chris Kim (2G), Spencer Gahagan (2A), Ryan Collins (1A), Drew Valbracht (1A), Roman Aldaiz (1A).

Tomorrow (Wednesday, October 1) the #9 Falcons (11-0) will play the #7 Kickapoo Chiefs (11-0) at the Cooper Soccerplex. The JV match will kickoff at 5:00pm with the Varsity match to follow.

Glendale vs. West Plains Zizzers

Tomorrow (Tuesday, September 30), the Falcons will travel east to play the West Plains Zizzers. The JV match will kickoff at 5:00pm with the Varsity match to follow.

Players will be dismissed at 1:15pm. Bus departure will be at 1:45pm.

Driving directions are online.

Don’t forget that all players who don’t ride the bus home from away matches must complete the Transportation Release Form and return it to their coach.

Just a reminder…

Today is the last day to reserve a hotel room in Collinsville, IL for this weekend’s Quincy Soccer Classic.
