Coach Rogers will be on The Jock 98.7 at 3:25pm today to talk about the season and last night’s big win.

The Falcons will be featured on the High School Highlights show on The Jock 98.7 on Saturday at 11:00am at Rivals Sports Bar & Grill.

On Sunday, the team will attend the 10:30am service at First Baptist at 525 South (South & Elm). It is Greek Day and the special guest speaker will be Wayne Hagin, former voice of the St. Louis Cardinals and current Mets broadcaster. Afterwards, the team will have lunch at the Breadeaux Pizza at Battlefield & Lone Pine. Parents are welcome to attend.

Honors

Last night, Devon Newport notched his 19th and 20th assists for the season and broke Steve Wilczewski’s Glendale single season assist record.

…Match! Falcons Are District Champs

After losing two regular season matches to the Kickapoo Chiefs, the Falcons won the only match that really mattered: the District 11 championship match.

The Falcons (23-4) defeated the Kickapoo Chiefs, 2-1. The Falcons scored on a free kick with 1:30 remaining in 2OT.

Match Stats: Chris Maddox (2G), Devon Newport (2A).

The Falcons will play the Carthage Tigers (22-4) in a sectional match on Tuesday, November 11 on Cooper 1 at 6:30pm. Carthage defeated Joplin, 3-2, to win District 12.

District 11 Championship Set

Tomorrow night (Thursday, November 6), the Falcons (22-4) will play the Kickapoo Chiefs (22-2) for the Class 3 – District 11 championship on Cooper 1 at 8:00pm. The match will be preceded by the Class 1 – District 6 championship match between Springfield Catholic and Greenwood. Parking will be messy.

Let’s get the Falcons Nation out in mass to support the team. Remind your friends that admission will be charged (no passes) since this is a MSHSAA event.

Football playoffs tonight at Glendale JFK. Soccer district final on Thursday at Cooper. Volleyball Final Four on Friday in Kansas City. It’s good to be a Falcon!

Falcons Advance to District Final

The Falcons defeated the Parkview Vikings, 3-0, and will play the Kickapoo Chiefs at 8:00pm on Thursday, November 6 on Cooper 1 for the District 11 championship.

Match Stats: Devon Newport (1G/2A), Alec Martinez (1G), Ryan Squires (1G).

Let The Postseason Begin!

Class 3, District 11 play begins tonight at Kickapoo. On Tuesday night at 7:00pm, the Falcons will play the winner of tonight’s Parkview vs. Branson match.

The News-Leader East supplement reports that the Falcons are ready for the postseason and the video evidence is pretty conclusive.
