Raffle Ending

All girls should plan to meet after school in the cafeteria on Wednesday, December 10, to return sold raffle tickets and cash.

Reminder: All players are expected to sell a minimum of 50 tickets (each player was given 50 tickets) and the top seller wins the grand prize of an iPod Touch. If you need a few last minute tickets contact Sara ASAP.

The winner will be announced here on Friday, December 12.

Seniors Display Holiday Spirit

Senior Dinner Update

The Senior’s Soccer & Sushi Soiree for tonight has been moved to 5:30pm. Haruno’s has several large parties tonight and this is the best time to accommodate everyone.

Raffle Sales Continue

A reminder that our raffle of a MacBook laptop computer continues and all girls should be selling at minimum the 50 tickets provided to them at our meeting. There are currently 3 girls in the running for the iPod Touch grand prize for selling the most tickets. If you want to compete for this prize you can request more tickets from Judy or Sara.

We will collect all sold tickets and money next Wednesday, December 10. More information to follow. The drawing is scheduled to be held next Friday, December 12.

Open Membership: Playing for the Love of Sport

Several former Falcons have gone on to play compete in collegiate club soccer. Collegiate club sports represent a middle ground between intramurals and varsity athletics and are growing in popularity.

Collegiate club sports are an attractive alternative for players who aren’t ready to hang up the boots, but can’t or don’t want to commit to varsity athletics, especially at schools with Division I athletics.

The New York Times is running a series of articles this week about collegiate club sports. Check back throughout the week as new links are added.
