We need to correct some information that was distributed at Monday’s information meeting. We regret the changes, if you have any questions or need clarification please contact Sara or Judy.
Drury Camp
Coach Bilbo has asked that we submit paperwork PRIOR to camp. Anyone wanting to attend Drury camp should return the registration form and the $80 fee to Jeni Frewin at preseason conditioning. Forms are now due by Wednesday, February 18. Registration forms and info were included in the paperwork distributed Monday evening. Once again, all Falcons are encouraged to attend this training opportunity.
Hotel Reservations
The information regarding hotel reservation in Sedalia contained a typo. The correct number to call to reserve parent rooms in Sedalia is 660-826-8400. A reminder that parent reservations for both Sedalia and the Brine Tournament of Champions in Iowa should be made ASAP. Rooms are blocked out for our use, but will be released if we do not call to confirm. Player rooms are already arranged and are separate from parent reservations.

The clothing order form is now available. As Ana Moffe announced at the information meeting, this needs to be returned to her ASAP. She will be at preseason conditioning sessions to collect orders or you can hand them off to Mindy Moffe.
Every player should turn in an order. The long-sleeve shirts will be used as an additional uniform option during cold weather and all players are required to purchase one. Everyone will receive one free short-sleeve t-shirt. The remaining items are optional. Parents are encouraged to order items to wear and show their Falcons pride.
Ana plans to order the short-sleeve shirts and additional items as quickly as possible to ensure all items are available before the start of the season. The order for long-sleeves will be held until we have final information regarding team assignments and jersey numbers. However, Ana needs size information immediately so the printer can order what we need now to expedite screen printing later.

City Shifts Girls’ Soccer From Spring to the Fall
“After three players complained to the New York Civil Liberties Union, the group threatened last month to sue the Department of Education, claiming the current schedule discriminated against women athletes and violated Title IX, the law covering equity in education.
The department said it believed the girls had been treated equally, but agreed this week to move the season, starting next school year, to avoid litigation. Having girls play soccer in the spring made it easier to reserve fields for other fall sports, the department said.”
