Freshman & Sophomores
5:00-6:45pm

Juniors & Seniors

First Falcons Alumni Game

On Sunday, August 8 the Falcons hosted the first Glendale Soccer Alumni game. SGFsoccer has a story and a number of photos from the event and Coach Rogers has identified all of the participants in the group photo.

Training Schedule Update

The New Season Starts on Monday

The Boys Fall 2010 soccer season starts on Monday, August 9. Practices will be held at Glendale at the following times:

Freshman & Sophomores will train from 6:00-8:00pm
Juniors & Seniors will train from 7:00-9:00pm
Keepers will train from 6:00-7:30pm

Players should bring soccer gear, ball and running shoes.

Announcements and Reminders

Reminder: Due to the MSHSAA Dead Week rules,  players are not allowed to use Glendale’s facilities this week.

Sunday from 6:00-7:30pm all players will need to stop by Glendale and drop off all paperwork including physical forms.  New this year is the change in citizenship cards which will need to be turned in when class schedules are picked up.

Also, Sunday will be the alumni game with the women playing at 6:30pm with the men to follow. All current players and families are welcome to stay and watch the games and all are invited to a Glendale post party at Galloway Station from 8:00-11:00pm.

Practice times will be announced later in the week.

Sports Contact Rules Change

MSHSAA has changed the rules for out-of-season contact days for high school coaches. Today’s News-Leader has a story about the changes and Coach Rogers and Senior Reece Conner are quoted in the article.

“It’s up to the players in the end,” said Reece Conner, a senior on the Glendale boys’ soccer team. “Coaches can coach, but it’s up to the players to do the work to get better.”
