Kurt Waterman’s goal against Jackson has already been chosen as they MYSA Goal of the Year, and now it is one of the 10 finalists for the United States Youth Soccer Association (USYSA) goal of the year. Waterman’s club team is SpringHigh Select.
You can view the nominees and vote for a winner on the USYSA voting page. At the time this is posted, Kurt leads the voting with 23.3% of the vote.
Voting runs from February 14-20, 2011. The winner will be announced at the US Youth Soccer Awards Gala in Louisville, KY on Friday, February 25.
Voting is limited by IP address to allow only multiple votes per IP address but not allowing unlimited voting.
Interpretation: Vote often, but voting a bunch of times from the same IP address (home, your office workstation, etc.) will not stuff the ballot box like you think. You need to vote (or get get people to vote) from as many IP addresses as possible.

Mia Hamm will be giving a soccer clinic and a motivational speech on Saturday February 12, 2011 in conjunction with the Missouri Winter Games. The event will be held at the Springfield Expo Center. Additional information, including ticket prices, is available online.
