Statewide Poll #7

The seventh statewide Missouri State High School Soccer Coaches Association Class 3 soccer poll has been released. Rock Bridge continues to be the top-ranked team in the state.

Other teams from Central and Southwest Missouri: Nixa slipped one spot to 14th. Kickapoo and Jefferson City each received a vote.

Missouri State vs. SIU-Edwardsville

The Missouri State Bears men’s soccer program will host SIU-Edwardsville on Sunday, October 30 at 6:00pm at the Plaster Sports Complex in their annual Living Our Legacy game. This year’s theme is “Soccer Salutes Service,” which honors the efforts of law enforcement, firefighters, and EMT/first responders/medical/rescue personnel.

The Bears hope to smash the men’s soccer attendance record of 2,103. Skybox packages are still available starting at $350.

Annual Parent/Player Survey

The boys will meet in the library immediately after school on Monday, October 31 to take the short survey. The link below will allow parents the opportunity to answer questions. The survey is important to evaluate programs, facilities and look for ways to improve our athletic programs at Glendale.

Falcons JV Finishes Second At Parkview JV Tourney

In this morning’s match against the Nixa Eagles, the Falcons JV won 2-1 on penalty kicks which went to the ninth shooter.
Match Stats: Caleb Vick (1G).

In this afternoon’s championship match, the Falcons JV lost to the Kickapoo Chiefs, 2-3.
Match Stats: Caleb Vick (1G), Austin Meyers (1G), Tony Palmisano (1A), Izzy Chappell (1A).

No JV practice on Monday.

The Varsity will practice on Monday at 4:00pm.

District 11 Tournament Bracket Set

The District 11 coaches met this morning to seed the teams. They are seeded:

  1. Nixa
  2. Kickapoo
  3. Glendale
  4. Ozark
  5. Parkview
  6. Branson

The Falcons will play the Branson Pirates at 3:00pm on Saturday, October 29. With a victory, the Falcons would face Kickapoo is a district semifinal on Tuesday, November 1 at 7:00pm. Kickapoo is the host for the District 11 tournament.

MSHSAA has the district tournament bracket posted.

JV Tournament Schedule

The JV is playing in the Parkview JV tournament this weekend. Last night’s game against Parkview counts as our first game in the tournament.

The JV will next play at 10:30am on Saturday on Parkview’s grass field against the winner of tonight’s match between Nixa and Fair Grove.

The third game of the tournament will be at 2:30pm. If the Falcons defeat the Nixa/Fair Grove winner, they will play at JFK Stadium. If the Falcons lose, they will play on Parkview’s grass field.

The bracket and tournament rules are posted on the Parkview Soccer website.

Falcons Defeat Parkview Vikings

The Varsity defeated the Parkview Vikings, 3-0.
Match Stats: Yamil Ocampo (1G), Tony Palmisano (1G), Austin Hart (1G), Turner Brown (1A), Matt Call (1A).

The JV defeated the Parkview Vikings, 5-0.
Match Stats: Izzy Chappell (1G/1A), Austin Meyers (1G/1A), Andy Hill (1G), Tony Palmisano (1G), Tyler Hedrick (1G), Josh Nance (1A), Loren Webb (1A).

No Varsity or JV practice on Friday.
