The bus will depart Glendale for the Tournament of Champions at 3:30pm on Thursday. The team will stay in Hannibal on Thursday night and in Burlington, IA on Friday night.

Financial Needs
- Tournament t-shirts are $15 and are in limited supply, especially the smalls. If you want a tournament t-shirt, you should buy it early.
- Meals provided: Friday breakfast (motel), Friday lunch, Friday dinner, Saturday breakfast (motel), Saturday lunch.
- Players need money for: Thursday dinner & Saturday dinner. Both meals are on the road.
- The player’s accommodations are at Fun City, a hotel that offers arcade games, laser tag and other forms of entertainment. Players should bring spending money to enjoy these options.
Miscellaneous
- Rain is in the Burlington forecast for Thursday and Friday. Plan accordingly.
- Seating is limited. Lawn chairs are advised.
- The tournament bracket is online. We play Althoff Catholic (IL) on Friday at 1:00pm, Liberty (MO) or Lake Forest (IL) at 8:00am on Saturday, and a third match at 1:30pm on Saturday.
Mapquest has directions that take you through Hannibal which adds about 20 minutes to the trip.

The “McElroy Shortcut” from Springfield, MO to Burlington, IA
Take Hwy 65 30 miles north of I-44 to Buffalo, turn right (East) on Hwy 32. In about 3/4 mile turn left on Hwy 73.
In 21 miles Hwy 73 dead ends into Hwy 54. Turn right on Hwy 54.
In 21 miles you will go through Camdenton, then Osage Beach, Jefferson City and cross over I-70. After another 18 miles in Mexico the hwy “ends” at a stop sign. Turn right, go 9.5 miles to next stop sign.
Turn left on Hwy 19 and proceed about 27 miles through Laddonia to the town of Center.
At the stop sign in Center turn left on County Road H. In 13.5 miles “H” will end at Hwy 36. Turn right.
In 1.5 miles take first right hand exit for Hwy 24 East, at top of ramp turn left.
In 3 miles Hwy 24 East will merge with Hwy 61 North. Stay in the left lane. In 44 miles take right hand exit onto Hwy 61 North. Follow Hwy 61 north for 31 miles. It will run into Hwy 27. DO NOT take the Hwy 61 exit to Keokuk.
In about 7 miles Hwy 27 will cross into Iowa, Proceed to Exit 19, “Hwy 2 Donnellson/Ft. Madison”. Turn right at bottom of ramp onto Hwy 2 East toward Ft. Madison.
In about 7 miles Hwy 2 will run into Hwy 61. Turn left onto Hwy 61 and proceed into the city of Ft. Madison.
Stay on Hwy 61 all the way through town, along the way it will turn into a one-way street; get in the right lane and make a left turn (both lanes can turn left) and then a right turn at the signal; at the end of the town the hwy makes a left hand turn and goes up a hill.
Follow Hwy 61 to Burlington. Fun City will be on the right hand side after you cross HWY 34.
The “McElroy Shortcut” from Burlington, IA to Springfield, MO
Take Hwy 61 South through Ft. Madison. At the southern edge of Ft. Madison turn right onto Hwy 2 West toward Donnellson.
In about 7 miles turn left onto the ramp for Hwy 27 South. Go about 19 miles to the Missouri border. In another 7.2 miles Hwy 27 will turn into Hwy 61 South.
In 31 miles Hwy 61 will merge with Hwy 24 West (left lane). Follow Hwy 24 W/61 S for 44 miles. Take right hand exit on to Hwy 24 West.
In about 3 miles take a right hand turn onto Hwy 36 West.
Go 1.5 miles and turn left onto County Road H.
In 13.5 miles turn right at the stop sign in the town of Center onto Hwy 19.
Go 21 miles through Laddonia and turn right onto Hwy 54 towards Mexico.
In 9.5 miles take a left turn onto the ramp of Hwy 54. At 18 miles you will cross I-70 at Kingdom City and another 30 miles you will go through Jefferson City. In another 42 miles you will reach Osage Beach. Continue on Hwy 54 for another 11 miles through Camdenton.
In another 21 miles turn left onto Hwy 73.
In 21 miles in the city of Buffalo turn right onto Hwy 32.
Go about 3/4 mile and take a left onto Hwy 65. In about 30 miles you will cross I-44.
