The Pershing Girls won their third straight City Championship last night with a 2-1 win over Catholic in 2OT. It is Pershing’s seventh Girls Championship and the school’s thirteenth soccer title.
It is the third year in a row and fourth time in the past five years that the Pershing Girls have defeated Catholic for the City Championship.
Emily Cline (8th) scored in the first half. Molly Brewer (7th) had the game winner in the second overtime.
This group of 8th grade Varsity Girls has only lost one Varsity game in three years at Pershing.
