Today’s News-Leader has a feature story about Springfield Catholic. The Falcons are mentioned in the sidebar piece titled “Other City Girls’ Soccer Teams.”
The web and PDF versions of the match schedule have been updated. There are a couple of changes:
On April 3, the Falcons will travel down I-44 to take on the Joplin Eagles. The JV will play at 5:00pm with the Varsity match to follow.
Last Spring, the Joplin Eagles defeated Glendale 2-0. It was Joplin’s first ever win against Glendale in girl’s soccer.
The Joplin Globe has a preview of the 2007 team. The Eagles return nine starters from a team that won 15 games last season.
There will be no practice today or Monday. Tuesday’s practice will begin at 3:00pm.
Ann Cook, a Glendale graduate (1988) and former Falcons assistant coach, has accepted an assistant coaching job at Penn State University. See SGFsoccer for more information.
Team pictures have been rescheduled for Thursday, April 12.
JV photos will be taken at 3:30pm with Varsity photos set for 4:30pm.
Practice today is on as scheduled for both teams. JV at 3:15pm; Varsity at 4:30pm. If weather does not permit us to train outside teams should meet inside for conditioning work.
