The Pershing Girls Varsity defeated Catholic 3-2 on penalty kicks to claim the Middle School Championship with a perfect 9-0 record. The score was 1-1 at the end of regulation. Pershing scored with two minutes left in in the second overtime, but then conceded the equalizer with about 20 seconds left in the game. Pershing won the penalty kick shootout, 3-1.

Goals: Lindsey Sprouse (1), Emily Jordan (1).
Penalty Kicks: Jeni Frewin (1), Emily Jordan (1), Emily Cline (1).

The Pershing boys and girls soccer teams completed their first “double” in school history–winning both championships in the same school year and they did so with an impressive 19-0 record.
