Cape Girardeau, October 10-11
A block of rooms have been reserved at the Victorian Inn (573-651-4486 or toll-free 800-331-0445) which is near Cape Girardeau for Friday night, October 10. The price is $84.00 plus 11% tax. There is a complimentary breakfast which includes biscuits and gravy (served 6:00-9:30 a.m.). All the rooms have two beds with most non-smoking, but call early if you want to be assured of a non-smoking room. The rooms will be reserved until September 10 and after that only if available. The rooms are booked under Glendale Soccer. The hotel is located just off of Hwy 55 and Exit 96. It can be seen from the highway and is close to all the high schools.
After you make your reservations, please email Diana Spade (Shawn Campbell’s mom) at decodoc@aol.com or call at 839-2373. Diana is in charge of making sure all players either have made room reservations or are staying with another family. Please remember that players must stay with an adult.
The players will be taking a bus from Glendale on Friday. The departure time has not been set, but the bus will be leaving at approximately 10:00-11:00 a.m.
Notre Dame: Take Hwy 55 to exit 96 (Route K). Go west one mile on Route K and you will see the school on the left. The soccer fields are located behind the high school.
Cape Central: Take Hwy 55 to Exit 95. Go east and then turn right on to Silver Springs Road (first stop light). The school is on the left with the soccer fields on the north side of the school.
Jackson: Take Hwy 55 to Exit 100. Travel west on Hwy 61/34 through town (you will pass Wal-Mart, McDonald’s, Hardee’s and Country Mart). Continue through the four-way light at Hwy 25 about one mile. Eastline will be on your right. Eastlane is just behind Jackson Junior High School. If you get to the stoplight at Westlane you have gone one block too far.
