Glendale Family,
Last night during the Varsity game with Lebanon we had 1 Glendale supporter asked to leave the field, 3 players receive red cards and I also received a red card. In my 15 years of coaching, I have never received a red card. It is my opinion that none of the cards issued last night were warranted, and the lack of professionalism in how they were given was appalling. Two of the cards were taken away after the game due to the fact the referee was not sure why or to whom they were given too. I will honor my red card along with one of our players and we will not coach/play the Friday night game vs. Liberty. I will take the necessary steps to make sure that those who bring any outside prejudice towards myself or our kids, will not be allowed to act as an authority figure in a game. I have apologized to the kids and the Lebanon staff as I hold myself responsible for my actions and the actions of our kids. Our program will take the high road and we will use this experience as a way to teach a valuable lesson. Please feel free to call me if you have any questions or concerns.
Thanks.
Jeff
